Another version of the highly successful Tinnitus PSA campaign. Please watch and tell others, this is serious. Tinnitus-do you know what it is?- About 50 million people in the US know it, mostly kids, young people. Millions more outside the country. I am a first a music fan, musician and filmmaker. I am also a Tinnitus sufferer Chances are, your favorite rock, hip hop or country idol has this problem but tells you nothing! Play this loud (ironic isn’t it?) and you’ll see the nightmare that is TINNITUS and then think about your life style. TINNITUS- America’s new epidemic!

i think you took it a little took far.. you cant drink thats crazy talk, and swiming get ear plugs, amps and concerts get ear plugs.. i play the drums i have tinnitus i use ear plugs its a simple solution.. listen to the video
the first days I got tinnitus it made me more sleepy
took me a week to come back to my normal sleeping hour ( midnight ). I couldn’t stay awake past 10 in the evening.
wear ear plugs! Tinnitus is horrible!

The blessed sound of silence… ah I think I forgot what the is like. I suffer too… or at least I have not become habituated to it yet. The medical people say I’ll get used to it someday. Ah, 1.5 yrs is a heck of a long time to get used to it. I’m not… any advice people? Keep the faith…
i gained it as a side effect to paranasal sinuses infection
i gained it while painting with epoxy paint been painting for a year now got it about within 7months mine was different worse it would flare up with no notice and after it died down i couldn’t hear anything at all nothing but the noise dying seemed like it was almost coming from a million different angels like a 1.1mil surround sound ^_^… i took one month off mixed red wine an olive oil drowned my ear and went away now i am not saying you should all do this..Note:i am no doctor
I’ve had tinnitus for 2 years. At first, it was a really big pain in the ass. I got really despressed and suicidal. Im a bit more used to it now. I actually barely notice it, unless I go to a club (which I rarely do now because of it) then it’s pretty loud for the next week or so. I’ve learned that certain food also helps, such as tuna and pineapple. Make sure and add them to your diet daily. It relieves it, believe me. Exercise also helps. Alcohol and smoking worsens it, so limit them at least!
Thanks for the advice. I find coffee is not the best thing. Classical music at a steady volume has been really helpful.
Avoid ANYTHING that contain “ibuprofen”
this being a pain killer, that indeed kills the pain, but often causes tinnitus as a side-effect! Best go with Paracetamol instead, far safer on your ears!

there is a cure but it only works for 5% of people….

Rock is bad for my ears! Anyone remember some of those albums in the 70’s? The album covers often said, “Made to be played loud.” Remember that? Should we blame some of this on Les Paul? I mean, it’s not like it’s really his fault. But he is the one who made the guitar sound much better, MUCH LOUDER! Pachelbel’s Canon (classical version) is much better for my whole body, not to mention my ears!
anyone hear about a new doc about tinnitus called devil’s symphony? read about it on discussion boards and i am going to buy it so my husband better understand what i’m going thru…

i have had tinnitus for over a year now. It is a challenging condition to live with, to say the least. I hope a cure is not far away now.
how do you know that these drugs cure tinnitus; did you have tinnitus for long?

lol, i have tinnitus. so after the ringing stopped in the video, i was like, OMG MY TINNITUS IS CURED because i couldn’t hear my OWN ringing, and then i heard it again. damn. fellow sufferers of tinnitus: stay courageous my friends!
does any1 have like im not sure if i have tinnitus but when im in silence.. like before i go to sleep i hear a screech then it gets louder and Louder AND LOUDER until its like louder than any rock concert or anything but it only happens when i cant hear anything else as in total silence? please let me know
Mine tends to get worse whem Im asleep. I wake up from it several times a night.. sleep about.. 4-5 hour max
FML, I hear it roaring at me right now..one of those bad days. I pray ATA finds a cure soon
