A few months ago I went to a heavy Metal concert. My ears started ringing and I didn’t think much of it, now it’s becoming hard to cope with, and I am slowly going insane. I live a breathe music so this doesn’t help much either.
I have thyroid disease and type 1 Diabetes which I am sure have botch contributed to these factors. I read that I can’t drink alcohol, coffee, tobacco, or even have salt products as they cause my ears to ring even more…. If I would have known about thyroid problems causing tinnitus I would have been more cautious in the first place, however we don’t tend to think about these things until the damage is done.
I am currently trying to get rid of tinnitus by taking Magnesium, Zinc, some natural herbs called "Glandex", and I’ve recently just tried to heat up olive oil with cotton balls.
Is there ANYTHING at all, any program or healing methods that have been found to work for any users out there? I just feel rather skeptical with all of those paid for programs online. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
about 20 minutes ago i laid in the bed to read a book and it waz nice and quiet when all of sudden i realized a high pitched ringing noise. i thought it might be my xbox so i turned it off. but it kept going. so i put my hands over my ears and its in my right ear. it wont stop. its now starting to hurt. i cant concentrate on anything. i play guitar and i cant even concentrate on that. its driving me crazy. im starting to panic. whats going on with my ears? what can i do to stop the ringing? i mean, i may not have the cleanest ears, i dont exactly clean em often but thats cuz we dont have the little things to clean em with and i dont really think about it. and ive listened to alot of loud music on my ipod for the past few years. please somebody help me?
i dont know if this is a sign that im going deaf, but ive been having a problem where one of my ears will all of a sudden turn the sound off and i can hear a ringing, and no i wasnt listening to any loud music when it happens. i hope it isnt a bad problem.
Sbout 5 days ago i was laying in bed and all of a sudden i heard ringing in my right ear, it didnt hurt though, and when i moved to my left side it went away, then 3 days ago i got sudden shooting pains in my ears and i could actually feel the tubes ( i no it sounds crazy but the pain travelled through the tube and i dont know) this only lasted a few seconds though. Lately like within the past few days im fine one minute and the next ill get a really painful headache, which will last around a minute and go off. Then on sunday morning, i got one of those headaches and all was ok, then when i was watching TV i was just fiddling with my face, and i noticed i had a lump under my right ear, when i press it, it hurts but not the kinda hurt you would call critical, very low pain if you no what i mean. it doesnt affect my ear in anyway though, Ive had gromits in my ears in the past, because one of my ear tubes was fussed together, but as far as i no it got fixed up, ive also had my adanoids out if thats any help, and my tonsils out also.
I had adanoids out when i was about 5, this is when i first had gromits put in.
Then tonsils and gromits fitted again when i was 11. Should i be worried about these things? any suggestion of what it might be?
I do kinda feel under the whether, like you no that feeling when you have flem in your throat, it feels like ive got it in the tube that runs from my nose to my throat, my eyes are stinging alot too lately.
( i dont have hayfever) any idea?

I experience sudden hearing loss and vision loss when I have sudden menstrual cramps (Dysmenorrhea). This also happens when I experience abdominal pain related to diarrhea or constipation, which sometimes happens right before my period starts. Sometimes the GI system and the uterus are both affected at the same time.
When I lose my hearing, all I hear is ringing, and everything turns bright, unless Im in a dark hallway. Indoors, I cant see. I think my pupils dilate and the blood flow to my ears constricts. What causes this?
I got my daughters ears pierced when she was 6 months old i have cleaned and checked them daily for infection and what not…well i gave her a bath the other day and nothing was there later that night all of a sudden theres a bump above the ear ring in the back of her ear the next day she had her 9 month check up so i said something to the dr she said it looked like a cyst and just to call if it got any bigger…..well im concerned she is my first baby and it didnt seem to bother her when you touched it before but now shes cranky all the time and to me it bothers her…..should i be extremly worried and take her to another dr or should i listen to my dr and its really nothing….I have tried to look it up on the internet to see if i could find anything on it but i cant seem to find anything….has any had this happen to their child or am i just a worried mommy???
I did take the ear ring out and i havent put one back in yet I dont really want to until it goes down…..
I was sitting in a quiet room yesterday and all of a sudden it felt as if I lost all of my hearing, all sounds were drowned out of my head and my ears started ringing pretty intensely. Should I see my doctor? is this something to worry about? or am I benig a nutcase?
This morning I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. All the sudden my ears started ringing and my legs and arms started getting tingly. Then i dropped to the floor and blacked out. When i came around, my entire body was clammy and pale and i was freezing except my face was burning up. Thats when I started gagging and throwing up for awhile.
The whole ordeal was probably about twenty minutes long, but once it started fading it was as if nothing had been wrong to begin with.
I have no clue what happened.
I’ve heard all the superstitions: That someone’s thinking about you, talking about you, dreaming about you. That you’re about to come into some money. That something bad is going to happen. Etc, etc. But what REALLY causes the ringing sound when you’re just sitting on the couch and all of a sudden, one of your ears starts to ring?
