Step 1: Find a care plan book
Step 2: Read a few pages of it
Step 3: Think a bit (I know, this one will be tough)
Step 4: Type what you thought into your computer
Step 5: Print
Step 6: Turn it in to your teacher and for god’s sakes try not to hurt the man with your inadequacy.
Hahaha I know your pain i just finished one that took like 16 hours, try like impaired communication AEB (how you know he cant hear).
Try something like patient will demonstrate understanding conversations even if unable to hear, by 48 hours. Patient will be able to demonstrate use of alternate methods of communication by 48 hours. Interventions could be write out on a portable dry erase board, assess for possible hearing aid, teach patient method of showing nurse/MD that he was unable to understand message, idk what else and the rationals should be self explanatory, use a med surge book for the rationals, and make sure the interventions are patient specific.
Step 1: Keep in mind, in the healthcare field, you can seldom go wrong with "safety first" as your motto, especially when it comes to your documentations/reports/care plans.
Step 2: Just Google a search for something like: "Safety tips for the hearing impaired". Use the tips you find to develop a care plan.
Step 3: Have the utmost of faith, confidence and trust in your God-given abilities to be a very good nurse- I’m assuming you are a Nursing Student.
Step 4: Never mistake sarcasm for helpful advice⦠Avoid and disregard the sarcasm in step 6 of earwaxyn’s answer (above).
-Best of wishes to you in your pursuits.
