how to turn the volume up on incoming and outgoing calls for MOTOROLA V300?

Thank you in advance; with the Motorola V300, I have a problem with hearing anyone on the line, and they have problems hearing me.
The ringtone volume is GOOD, also HANDSFREE is good.
Is there anyone who can tell me what the problem might be.

You have a volume control button on the side of your phone, press it up until the bar maxes out while you’re on a call to raise the volume. If you do not have the side key, go to menu, settings, sounds, and adjust the phone’s volume.
